Container. Duruma, Kenya. No 29. X.T.2. Original list: "Duruma. Container. Leather, wood, iron, pigment cloth. Witchdoctor" Cylindrical container formed from a section of bamboo, provided with a leather and leather grip strap and a sewn leather cap . The box contains white powder and two small knives formed from an iron blade and a wooden handle. The blades are covered with fabric. These instruments were probably used for the rites of circumcision (Cf. "Imenti circumciser" by J. Adamson, pl. XV, 1967: 110). See similar object not captioned in A. Fedders and C. Salvadori. 1980: 10
