 Bracelet. Maasai. Kenya. No 83. XI.E.10. No 83. XI.E.10. Original list: "Maasai. Armlet. Copper, buffalo, leather. Man, warrior, elder, chief". Cow horn bracelet, finely carved, surmounted by two long vertical rods wrapped in copper wire. Badges of this type were worn on the upper arm by the Massai warriors. "A Maasai warrior wearing an arap on his left arm to indicate that he has killed an enemy" (Pavitt. 2008: 266). "Errap, an arm ornament of cow horn wrapped in copper wire, worn on the upper arm by Maasai warriors who have killed a man in battle" (A. Fisher. 1984: 63).
