Necklace
Necklace and pendant. Turkana. Kenya. Necklace made of antelope bone beads (dik-dik) and red, white, yellow and blue glass beads, assembled in scale, then supplied with a long skin pendant on which are sewn two large pearl discs white glass, each with a trapezoid pattern; one blue, the other red. Necklaces of this type were worn by young Turkana girls. See "A belt worn by Samburu and Turkana women, made from the toe bones of a small antelope strung with glass beads" in A. Fisher. 1984: 42.
