Finger knife
Finger knife. Turkana. Pokot. Kenya. No 78. XI.AC.12. Original list: "Turkana. Pokot. Finger Knife. Copper, iron. Man, warrior". Set of two small iron knives, forged in a ring. One has a rounded blade sharpened over the entire periphery; the other, claw-shaped, has only one edge. The bases of these two elements are decorated with coiled copper wire. "Besides this legal weapon, they [Turkana] used to wear the now forbidden finger-knife, a deadly hook usually concealed inside the palm of the hand" (J. Adamson. 1967: 57).
