Head ornament
Head necklace. Pokot. Kenya. No 72. XI.C.1. Original list: "Pokot.Head Ornament. Leather, brass. Woman, girl". Head necklace formed of several coiled brass rings suspended on either side of a leather strap. The strap is reinforced with wire as well as with vegetable wire on which are threaded a few beads of red and blue glasses. Ornaments of this type were worn by women.
